Stewardship
Pentecost Sunday

"The Advocate, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you." John 14:26

The materialism of our society lures us to concentrate more on what we want than on what God wants for us and from us. It is good to know that when we are confused by our stewardship responsibilities we can call on the Holy Spirit to show us the way.

ST. ANNE CHURCH
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.

Picnic – 2010

It is that time again! Mark your calendar for Sunday, June 13, 2010 and share in the fun and fellowship of the St. Anne Picnic, French Village. We will be serving fried chicken, kettle beef and liver dumplings. The dinner tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children. You may dine in our air-conditioned hall or outside in the screened in area. There will be a Live Band and games for adults and children. Bingo will begin at 1:00 p.m. The top raffle prize is $1,000 cash. Our festivities start at 11:00 a.m.

Thank you to all who have donated to the Country Store/Fancy Stand. We are still in need of handcrafted gifts, books, homemade jellies, jams, relishes, and gently used items.

We will need volunteers to assemble at 9:00 a.m. at St. Anne on Saturday, June 5th, to help clean the kitchen and get our grounds ready for the picnic.

Spot Light on Our Advertisers

Are you planning that special party or celebration? Call Rich King at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Berry Road to reserve the hall for your event. The Knights also invite you to come and enjoy their Chicken & Dumpling Dinner, which is offered every 1st Thursday of the month. In addition, the Knights serve up their delicious Fish Fries every 3rd Friday of the month. Take the night off and support the Knights of Columbus.

We appreciate all of our advertisers and will spot light more businesses in the coming weeks.

Father Corapi

If you were unable to attend Father Corapi’s conference, the full set of "Be Not Afraid – There is Truth" is available for your purchase on the fathercorapi.com website. You may also view his program on the EWTN Global Catholic Network. Brochures listing EWTN Program Highlights for this summer are available at the back of Church.

Missouri’s Largest
Diaper Shower

God’s Lifesavers are sponsoring a Diaper Shower and will be collecting disposable diapers of any size from Mother’s Day, May 9th, to Father’s Day, June 20th. Boxes for donations will be at the Church entrances of both St. Joseph and St. Anne Parishes. Diapers collected will be distributed to: Birthright, New Way Shelter, Parkland Pregnancy Center, St. Vincent De Paul Food Pantry, and Nurses for Newborns. Thank you.

Glennon Sunday Collection

Cardinal Glennon Children’s Medical Center is one of the nation’s largest pediatric hospitals, touching the lives of nearly 300,000 children each year. Since 1956, no child has ever been denied care because of the financial circumstances of his or her family. This is due in large part to the generosity of the hospital’s friends. Please be a friend by making a gift to the hospital’s annual Glennon Sunday Collection on June 5 – 6, 2010.

Catholic Home
Missions Appeal

The Catholic Home Missions Appeal funds a wide range of pastoral activities, with special emphasis on evangelization; religious education; ministry training for priests, deacons, religious sisters, and lay people; youth ministry; and support of poor parishes in the United States. Your help is vital to the success of the Appeal. Thank you for your generosity and your help to strengthen the Church at home.

JustFaith Workshop

Do you ever wonder how to live your faith in today’s complex world? Living our faith and understanding today’s challenges takes reflection, study, prayer, and community. All of these are offered in the JustFaith Program, an intensive program that helps answer these questions. Consider joining a group that starts this fall. See www.ccstl.org for a registration form or contact Pat Dougherty at 314-504-3669 for more info.

Mother of Perpetual Help

Come pray with us the Devotions to our Mother of Perpetual Help at 7:55 a.m. on Tuesday mornings.
