Each year, Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital cares for thousands of children who might not otherwise receive such expert medical care. And because Cardinal Glennon does not receive funding form the ADA, Catholic Charities or the United Way campaigns, the hospital must rely on gifts. Please be a friend by making a gift to the hospital’s annual Glennon Sunday Collection on May 29 – May 30 or mail your check, payable to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospitable, directly to: Gennon Sunday Collection, 1465 South Grand Boulevard, Saint Louis, Missouri 63104

Thank you for caring!

ST. ANNE CHURCH,

Hymnals that we no longer use are in the back of Church. If you would like a copy please feel free to take one. After today the old hymnals will be discarded.

St. Anne Picnic is quickly approaching and there are a couple of requests that need to be made before the Big Day arrives. First of all, each parish family is asked to provide at least 3 cakes or pies for the Picnic Dinner. Preferably, home made. The cakes and pies should be taken to the Church Hall the morning of the Picnic. Secondly, help is needed on Saturday, to begin preparations for the Picnic Dinner. Help should arrive at the Church Saturday morning at 8:00a.m. Kitchen help is still needed for Sunday. Any time given will be greatly appreciated.

Finally, with your prayers and support, this year’s Picnic will be a BIG SUCCESS! Please forward any questions to Mary Werner at 573-483-9693.

We are asking for your help! Items are still needed for the Country Store. A lot of interesting items have been donated so this should be the best year for the Country Store.

Plants are needed for the Plant Stand. Please contact Pat Schwarz at 573-562-2819 if you have extra plants that you would like to share.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

One of my great joys since arriving in Saint Louis has been to see first hand the work of Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. I have experienced what you already know – it lives up to its reputation as a child – and family – friendly hospital. How blessed we are in our Archdiocese to have the only freestanding, Catholic children’s hospital in America.

All children at Cardinal Glennon are seen without regard to the child’s family circumstances. Through its services, the Hospital serves over 250,000 children each year. It is able to treat most vulnerable only because of your generous support. It receives no funding from the Archdiocesan Development Appeal, Catholic Charities or United Way.

Next Sunday, May 30, you will have the opportunity to support directly the ministry of Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital through the annual Glennon Sunday Collection. I encourage you to be generous.

With prayers for your health and well-being, and that of all our children, I am

Sincerely yours in Christ,

(Most Rev.) Raymond L. Burke

Archbishop of Saint Louis

On August 29, 2004, Archbishop Burke will offer a Mass of Thanksgiving at 12 noon, in honor of the 125th Anniversary of St. John the Apostle Church, Bismarck, Mo. We are looking for old pictures and the names of parishioners who have moved from the area. If you have pictures, or know of past parishioners, please contact Father Jim French at Immaculate Conception Church (573-431-2427)
