ST. ANNE CHURCH
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.

The ladies of the parish will be gathering Saturday, June 2nd at 8:00am to do food preparation for the PICNIC. We are requesting four pies and/or cakes per family, preferably, homemade. Please bring them to church the morning of the PICNIC. Last year the popular ones requested by the people seemed to be Fruit, Lemon, Coconut Cream or Chocolate pies and the all time favorite Chocolate Cake. Any of these would be appreciated.

Any and all help in the kitchen and dining area would also be greatly appreciated. If you can help please call Mary Beth Werner at 573-483-9693. Thank you.

Generous Donation Will Help with Needed Repairs

A deceased life long parishioner of St. Joseph made arrangements for a very generous donation to the church and school.

The front steps of the church are in much need of repair or replaced and the church needs to be tuck-pointed. We have had a couple of accidents and fortunately no one has been badly hurt.

The improvements slated to be done will be in three phases. Phase One will be replacement of the steps and tuck-pointing. The cost for the tuck-pointing is $3,000. The first bid on the step replacement is estimated at $51,000. This cost is for time and labor. The old steps will have to be completely removed with a jackhammer and replaced with the new structure of re-bar and concrete. Father is also looking into the removal of the curbs and putting a new sidewalk with an incline to the street for safety purposes. Phase Two will be a gathering area on the side of the church for people to sit and visit after Mass. The sign will also be moved to a new spot. Phase Three will be new doors and a canopy on the front of the church that will protect families at funerals and weddings. A grant will be written to try and help with the deferment of the cost of this project.

Congratulations on Your 50th Wedding Anniversary

Bob and Barb Krull are celebrating 50 years of marriage. They were married at St. Agatha Catholic Church in South St. Louis by Father F. Bretscher. They have raised four children, three boys and a girl. They are the proud grandparents of eleven grandchildren. Bob and Barb retired in 1996 and moved to the Bonne Terre area in 1997. They are active parishioners. They belong to the Knights of Columbus Council #1088 as well as other organizations in the area.
