Congratulations to our pastor on his 36th year of
ordination this past Tuesday. Father celebrated his anniversary. Father John was ordained
by Cardinal John J. Carberry on May 11th. 1968 at the new Catherdal on a bright
and shinny day. You might want to pat him on the back for his many years of service.
FLU SEASON
The Flu Season has been declared over. We may want to go
back to our more familiar gestures at the Lords Prayer and the Sign of Peace. Good
health to all of you.
THE AUCTION was a HUGE success. We raised approximately
$11,146.00!!!! Rebecca Dilbeck won the quilt raffle and Shelly Lawson won the 50/50 raffle
for $250.00. The Home and School would like to thank everyone who participated, donated,
attended and supported our Auction in any way. We could not have done it without all of
YOU!
COLLECTION FOR CATHOLIC HOME MISSIONS
In our country, approximately 85 dioceses simply are unable
to provide the basic pastoral services of word, worship, and charity for their people
without the help of outside funding. All of these poor U.S. dioceses have major needs of
parish support, for evangelization, religious education, campus ministry, seminary
training, ethnic ministries, and youth and lay ministry programs.
This weekend the collection for the CATHOLIC
HOME MISSIONS APPEAL will be taken up throughout the Archdiocese. You are
encouraged to be generous to this appeal which supports people in so many poor, remote and
rural parts of the United States.
FESTIVAL 2004
Our Festival is fast approaching June 27th will
be a BIG day.
Items are still needed for the Country Store, Book Stand etc. We
wish to thank you for the items that have been donated for the Hamburger Stand.
We will soon have sign up sheets for workers. Every job needs to
be filled and your help is greatly appreciated.
More information will follow. Please pray for a beautiful day and
a successful Festival.
