OUR LADIES SODALITY

PLEASE TAKE NOTE:  The Ladies Sodality will not hold their Bake Sale this weekend.  You are invited to our Bake Sale the weekend of  April 14th.and 15th.  Each parishioner is asked to bring an unwrapped baby gift for Birthright.  Please don’t forget to drop off your unused or broken rosaries in the boxes at the church entrance.

Last week an article was run in the bulletin concerning our First Friday Eucharistic Adoration.  Thank you to the Ladies Sodality for picking up the ball and running with it.  They have agreed to find people to be with the Blessed Sacrament at all times on First Friday. If someone contacts you please be willing to share a little of your time. Take this opportunity to stop and pray.  If you are troubled this is a prime time to give your troubles to God.   He will take care of them. “ Where there are two or three gathered in my Name there am I in their midst.”

DAUGHTERS OF ISABELLA

The Top Ten Banquet is here. We are once again hosting this event at North County High School.  If we all help our biggest fund raiser can be handled with ease. Preparation will begin at 2:00p.m.,dinner served at 6:00p.m. and clean up will begin at 7:00p.m.  Each lady is asked to bring two pies.  Please call Jeanette Lindhorst at358-7516.  Once again your help is always appreciated.

It is that time of year.  THE ANNUAL CATHOLIC APPEAL, formerly the Archdiocesan Development Appeal began last weekend. You are invited to participate.  Please stop by and sign your pledge card even if you are not able to give this year.  All of the cards must be signed.  A representative will have to call you or contact you personally if you do not respond.

Come over to the school auditorium enjoy coffee, juice and donuts, sign your card and continue the tradition and join those who are giving in the Archdiocese of St. Louis.

Please open your heart in gratitude for the gifts you have been given, and return a portion of those gifts for the service of others.

In May, we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth.   We also commemorate the Visitation when the Blessed Mother visited her cousin Elizabeth to share her joy at being favored by God.   On Monday, May 2nd, the school children will participate in the May crowning at the 8:00a.m. Mass. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend Mass that morning.  Please remember to pray the rosary.

 To Whom It May Concern:

Flu season is over.  I am going to start holding hands at the Lord’s prayer and shaking hands at the Sign of Peace.  If you are so inclined you may resume the liturgical gestures we have used in the past.
