"Jesus said to Simon Peter son of John, do you love me? He
said to Him, yes Lord, you know that I love you" (John 21:16). Imagine Jesus asking
you this question. Peter, of course, answers with confidence. "Lord, you know that I
love you." Could we answer with such confidence?
Love is at the center of our faith in Jesus Christ. It is the
greatest commandment to love one another. How we express that love to others can
take many forms.
The Archdiocese Development Appeal supports hundreds of programs,
schools, agencies and ministries of the Archdiocese. Each day thousands of people are
working tirelessly to serve others throughout the 10 counties and the City of St. Louis
that make up our Catholic Church in the St. Louis region.
Your pledge to the Archdiocesan Development Appeal is one way you
can express your love for your neighbor. Your gift will support those most in need, people
in our community and perhaps even in our parish.
If you have not participated before, please join once again the
thousands of Catholics who will make a commitment of love today. If you are able, please
consider increasing your gift this year.
Please respond to the Lords call to, "Love one another
as I love you" (John 15:12).
We are happy to welcome as our guest speaker this week-end Mr.
Matt Bernard.
You are invited to come down to the Church Hall this evening after
Mass and enjoy our 11th annual School Auction. The silent auction and the
cocktail hour will begin at 5:00p.m. A delicious dinner of roast beef, chicken parmesan
with all the trimmings will be served. All proceeds go to our school.
