Daughters of Isabella

Mark you calendar! We will have a very special guest speaker, Katie Rodriquez Banister, at our next meeting on April 13, 2009. Katie is a motivational speaker and an Advocate for People with Disabilities. She has been confined to a wheelchair for 19 years. Please join us to hear her very inspirational message.

We will have refreshments and celebrate our January through April birthdays following the program.

Knights of Columbus

What’s for supper? Finger lickin good fish fried up to a golden brown, macaroni and cheese, green beans, stewed tomatoes and slaw. Finish this off with a mouth watering homemade dessert and you will have a Friday night feast. Bring your family and friends and have a sit down dinner or let us fix you a plate to go. Don’t miss out - this is our last Lenten Fish Fry. Doors open at 4:00 p.m. The proceeds will be donated to St. Joseph School.

Our Trivia was a great success! All the Knights would like to give a big warm THANK YOU to Jeff Cauley (M.C.), First Sargent Rich King (Knowledge and Experience), Claudine Willette, Terri Willette, Chelsea Bingham (Silent Auction) and Frank Basden (Imo’s Pizza).

Lenten Reflections

During the weeks of Lent, we have prepared for this final week by fasting, praying, and almsgiving, all with the purpose of opening ourselves more fully to God’s presence in our lives. During Holy Week, we walk with Jesus, we suffer with Him, we die with Him, and finally, we rise again: new creatures, brought deeply into the joy of redemption and new life now, and, we pray, forever.

Bible Study

Please join our Bible Study on Monday, April 6, 2009, after the 8:00 a.m. Mass for a viewing of Scott Hahn’s "The 4thCup". He will focus on Scripture, the Paschal Mystery and the Holy Eucharist.

"The Ninth Hour"

St. Joseph’s Choir will present a Lenten & Easter musical entitled "The Ninth Hour". It is a powerfully moving musical drama about Christ’s passion and resurrection. Come listen to the Greatest Love Story ever sung! There will be one performance only – Monday, April 6, 2009, at 7:00pm

Penance Services

St. Joseph Church will hold a communal penance service on Monday, April 6, 2009, immediately following "The Ninth Hour" presentation by the St. Joseph Choir.

Welcome

Let us welcome into our parish family Grace Elizabeth & Ava Marie Overschmidt, Katie Hopwood, Kelsi Ann Coleman, Edie Mae Thomure, Ian Jacob Rasnic, Emily Joy Anne Rasnic, Abigale Joy Anne Rasnic, and Eli Jacob Rasnic.

May God continue to bless them on their journey.

No Parking

April 12, 2009 will be the last time we will be able to use the Methodist parking lot until their building project is completed this fall. A gate will be put up for safety reasons.
