ST. ANNE CHURCH,
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.

Today, we will have a second collection taken up immediately following Holy Communion for the Catholic Home Missions Appeal.  This Appeal supports the home missions – places right here in the United States where the Catholic Church struggles just to keep parishes open and to educate children in the faith.  Some dioceses are terribly short of priests, sisters, and the money needed to run parishes.  For example, there are only 70 priests in the whole state of Utah, 57 in Idaho, and 45 in Wyoming.  The Catholic Home Missions Appeal helps build community within the Church and works for the common good of Catholics in the United States.  Please give generously to help your fellow Catholics here in America.

A big thank you to Jenny Akins, Becky O’Neill, Jeff Pratte and Father John, for their heroic service in the journey of faith of those catechumen who received the sacraments last Saturday evening.  Please welcome into our family Jean Jennings, Marie Sanders and Marvin Williams.   Please remember them in your prayers.St. Rose of Lima Parish in DeSoto will host a fried chicken dinner on Sunday, April 3rd. Serving from 11:00a.m.- 3:00p.m. at the school cafeteria. $8.00 for adults, $4.00 for children. Age 4 and under free.  Carry-outs are available.

First Holy Communion will take place during the 10:00a.m. Mass this morning.  Please continue to pray for these new seeds of our faith that will be the future leaders of our parish.

We have some ladies that have not renewed their Daughters of Isabella dues for the year 2005.  You may send your dues to St. Joseph Church or to Dorothy Gouin at 418 N. Long St., BonneTerre, Mo. 63628.

This weekend you will find in the pews ballots for the voting of a new Parish Council.  Please vote for two in each age group. These people have agreed to serve on the Council if elected. The new Council will serve for three years.  The introduction meeting will be May 2nd. at 7:00p.m.  Please take the time to vote!

 ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT

The Blessed Sacrament will be exposed immediately following the 8:00a.m. Mass.Come and spend a few minutes with Jesus. This will give you the opportunity to spend a few quite minutes in pray and thanksgiving. We have just completed Lent and this would be an excellent way to stay on the right path. Benediction will be a 5:00p.m.

Coffee and Donuts will be served following the Masses this Sunday at both St. Anne and St. Joseph Parishes. Everyone is invited to come down and enjoy the goodies and visit with your friends.
