ST. JOSEPH EASTER BANNER

The Banner that will be used during the Easter Season hangs on the right side of the altar. Please take a few minutes and admire its beauty.

ALLELUIA comes from the Hebrews and means "Praise Ye Jehovah"

THE PASCHAL CANDLE or Easter Candle, stands for Christ, our Savior, the light of the world.

THE RISING SUN symbolizes Christ, who brings us out of the darkness of sin as told by Isaiah in the Old Testament.

WATER or life is represented by waves. Without water, there is no life. We receive eternal life with God through the waters of Baptism.

THE EASTER LILY symbolizes our new life in Christ. It is also a symbol of Mary.

THE A & are the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and end of the Greek alphabet. This symbolizes God our Creator, who is all things from beginning to end.

DAUGHTERS OF ISABELA

The regular meeting of the Daughters of Isabella will be held on Monday, April 8th beginning at 7:00p.m. Birthday cake will be served and all those with birthdays from January through April will be acknowledged. Please plan to join us!

PRAYER MEETING

Our Parish Prayer Group "TOGETHER IN HIS NAME" will meet on Thursday, April 4th. at 7:00p.m. Healing Prayer will be available after the meeting. All are invited.

As a Parish we would like to extend a "THANK YOU" to our Lady Quilters for their constant work in helping their Parish. Most recently they provided the funds to restore Stations 1 and 2 plus the Bases. We are still in need of donors to restore the other Stations. If you would like to help, please contact Father John. It usually takes from six months to a year for the restoration.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS

The Lenten Fish Fry was another success this year. I don’t know if I was more hungry this year but the food was outstanding. We need to thank the Knights, the parents of our school children, the people that gave of their time to serve and to all that supported our efforts by coming regularly. A donation of $5400.00 has been given to our School.
