School News

Snow make-up days will be Monday – full day, Tuesday- full day and Wednesday until 11:30am.

We will not have school on Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Monday. Classes will resume on Tuesday, March 25, 2008.

Rosary Schedule

This year during Lent you have the opportunity to pray the Rosary at St. Joseph every Thursday morning beginning at 8:30am. The Rosary is also recited on the 13th. day of each month.

St. Anne is also offering you the opportunity to pray the Rosary on Thursday morning at 8:30am. Please try to take advantage of this opportunity to pray for your intentions and world peace.

St. Joseph School Auction

This year the annual “Home and School Auction” is Saturday, April 26TH. Please mark your calendar. Remember that your support is what keeps the doors open at St. Joseph School. These children are the seeds of our faith that will grow the church for the next decade.

Some suggestions for support:
1.Cash donation that will be used to purchase an item in your name. You will be listed in the program.
2.Donate “Kids Things”. There is a donation box in the back of church next to the Religious Store.
3.Appropriate items that can be used for the “Auction” should be brought to the school before April 23rd.

Let’s make this the biggest and best “Auction” yet.

Our Lady Sodality

Thank you to the parishioners and friends that attended our Chili Supper. The chili was good and we had another success.

The next regular meeting will be Tuesday, March 19, 2008. Please join us at Homestead Restaurant. Please be there by noon.

Gift Shop

Starting April 6, 2008 the “Gift Shop” will be open at ALL the Masses on the first Sunday of the month.

Easter and First Communion is just around the corner. If you need a special gift stop by and you can shop. If it is during the week call the Parish Office and someone will contact you.

Lenten Fish Fry

Friday (Good Friday) will be the last Lenten Fish Fry. Please join us for a delicious meal of Fish (four choices) plus three sides, dessert and drink. All for a small donation of $7.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Remember carry-outs are available. Call 573-358-8701.

Prayer of St. Patrick’s Day

Dear Lord,
Your servant, Saint Patrick, was first a slave to,and then a servant of, your people in Ireland.As he endured years of hardship as a slave,so help us to persevere through trials which seem to serve no purpose at the time. As Patrick’s time in Ireland served him well, after he was called to be a bishop of that land, so help us to see how our sufferings strengthen us to do your will.
Later, as Patrick’s people withstood great hardship, protected your word in
monasteries,and brought your Church to many new lands,so help us also to grow in faithfulness to you and be your instruments of the world’s conversion.
