Workers for March 12 Team #2

The Children’s Mass was enjoyed not only by the parents but also by the congregation. After the children sang "Were You There" the congregation was so in "awe" that they gave a round of applause. A large number of parents attended the 10:00a.m. Mass. It was good to see them not only attending Mass but to see them support their children. A Children’s Mass is something that we hope to have at the beginning of every month during the school year.

After Mass, a larger than usual group, went over to the school for it’s annual OPEN HOUSE to see the work of the students and to enjoy coffee and donuts.

Thanks to those who came, to the ones who got the coffee and donuts ready, and Mrs. Bobbie Monahan, School Administrator.

EXAMINATION OF CONSCIENCE

"WHAT HAVE I DONE"

"SECOND PART"

Have I been unfaithful to the promises of marriage, or have I encouraged anyone else to be unfaithful? Do I engage in sexual activity or seek sexual pleasure that is forbidden to my state of life? Do I make use of pornography or encourage others to do so?

Have I stolen money or property, even in small amounts? If so, have I made restitution? Have I vandalized or otherwise damaged the property of others? Do I squander money on gambling or careless purchases, money rightly needed to support my family or myself?

Have I spoken falsely with the intention of deceiving others? Do I gossip or break the confidences of others? Have I said anything, true or false, that damaged the reputation of another?

Sexually explicit images and talk are found in movies, TV, music, advertising and on the Internet. Do I regularly choose to introduce these temptations against chastity into my life and my home?

Is too much of my time and energy given over to acquiring excessive wealth? Is my attitude generally more envious or more thankful?

PARCEL POST BOOTH

The "Parcel Post Booth" is being handled this year by Leroy & Mary Ann Mauller, with the help of those special girls: Frances Gosling, Shirley Christopher and Marie Young, who have worked for so many years. The booth will have 50 cent, $1.00 and $2.00 grab bags. We need a lot of fifty cent items. Please donate new items from $1.00 to $5.00 such as pins, bracelets, craft items, figurines, new stuffed animals etc. Cash is also acceptable, so that we may purchase the items ourselves. The theme of this Festival is patriotic so we are in need of wrapping paper in red, white or blue, to wrap some of the items that will be raffled . For your convenience, a box will be in the back of Church so you may deposit any items that you wish to donate. With your help and if we get started now, this will be one of our best booths. The Festival is only 15 weeks away!

IN YOUR DAILY PRAYERS

In your daily prayers, please remember our friends and relatives, Bernard Vallo, John Valleck, Gary Adkins, brother of Karen Spruell, Shirley Watson, secretary of St. Joseph Parish in Farmington, Rosemond Moore, Joe AuBuchon, Bernice Chamberlain, and Vivian Vogel.

AMERICAN BISHOPS’ OVERSEAS APPEAL

This weekend, we will have a second collection for the American Bishops’ Overseas Appeal that helps fund the work of Catholic Relief Services, the Holy Father’s Relief Fund, and the U.S. Bishops’ Migration and Refugee Services. Your support of this appeal is an important step in expressing solidarity with the poor, the oppressed, the refugees, the migrant workers, and other disadvantaged and powerless people we find Jesus in disguise. Please be generous.

FRIDAY, MARCH 15: This is the next to the last K of C Fish Fry. Come down and enjoy this delicious meal before it is too late. We have served well over 200 dinners every Friday. The parents of the students of St. Joseph School have provided the desserts and the help needed to clean the kitchen and the Church Hall. This week The Home and School Association have asked John & Teresia Allen, Cathy Ford, Michelle Arnold, Rachel Lewis, Jeannette Curtis, Terry & Rhonda Gowen, C. Doak & Annette Holloway, Dale & Tami Mason, and Mike & Angie Patt to represent their children in this weeks cleanup. Serving begins at 3:30p.m. until 6:30p.m.. Carry outs are available. All of the proceeds will be donated to St. Joseph School by the Knights of Columbus.
