Father Matthew Habiger will lead a Parish Mission beginning
Monday, March 15th. He will begin with confessions at 6:p.m. and session from
7:00p.m. 9:00p.m.
A mission is a series of seminars focusing on Catholic beliefs
which will also involve times for prayer and spiritual growth. Pope John Paul II has
called upon members of the church to use this method of evangelism.
Topics will include talks on the Four Parts of the Catechism.
Habiger was ordained in 1968 for St. Benedicts Abbey in Atchison,
Kansas. In 1990, he began a 10 year tour of duty working with the pro-life movement
proclaiming the values of the Gospel of Life. He went to 55 countries and many cities
lecturing, organizing conferences and hosting leader-ship training conferences.
He has two masters degrees and a doctorate from Catholic
University of America and served as chaplain while teaching theology at Benedictine
College.
Please try to attend some if not all the sessions and accept the
opportunity to grow spiritually during this season of Lent.
