The Daughters of Isabella is sponsoring a special retreat day for
all women of St. Anne and St. Joseph Parish and their guests, Saturday April 5 from
9:00a.m. until 2:30p.m. The retreat is entitled "Blessed in God’s Sight:
Discovering the Spiritual Self as Beheld by God." The retreat director is Sister
Carol Collins, SSND who does individual spiritual direction and retreat work in
Belleville, Illinois and in St. Louis.
Watch for a registration brochure in the bulletin and/or call

Pinson 358-2112. There will not be a charge for the day and all are welcome!
The Prayer Group "Together In His Name" will have their
regular meeting on Monday February 17 at 7:00p.m. Holy Hour for private prayer will begin

WE BELIEVE IN
JESUS CHRIST
LENT 2003
We Believe… is the name of a religious education and
faith formation series for adults who want to deepen their faith by reflecting on the
teachings of the Nicene Creed and seeking ways to apply these teachings to daily life.
There are four seasons in the We Believe… series.
Last fall our parish took part in Season One on God the Father. Each season consists of
six sessions. Each weekly session combines Church teaching, reflection, faith sharing,
prayer, and suggestions for living one’s faith in daily life.
We Believe in Jesus Christ is the
name of the second of the four seasons in the We Believe…series.
It will focus on Catholic teaching on the Son of God as expressed in the Nicene Creed: We
will consider Jesus as true God and true man; Jesus as the revelation of the Father’s
love; the meaning of salvation; the suffering and death of Jesus; the Resurrection; the
Kingdom of God; and our response in faith to our God.
This resource will be an excellent tool for adult Catholics of all
ages who are searching for ways to grow in faith. Each session of We
Believe in Jesus Christ will invite participants to grow in their faith and
understanding of Church teaching through prayer, reflection, and faith sharing in a small
group format. It is not necessary to have participated in previous adult religious
education programs offered by our parish to take part in this series. We invite and
encourage all the adults and young adults of our parish to take this opportunity to
explore the teachings of the Church and grow in discipleship.
Small groups of adults and young adults will be meeting once a
week in the Church meeting room on Tuesday morning, on Wednesday morning in the Church
following Mass or in parishioner’s homes.
This is just a reminder that our Lenten adult faith formation
program begins next week. Be sure to pick your group for the weekly sessions.
The Knights of Columbus will be having "A TRIVIA NIGHT"
on Saturday, February 22, 2003 at the Hall on Jennings Road. The price is $10.00 per
person. Sign up sheets are in the back of Church. This appears to be a fun evening for
everyone! Please support our Knights! Start time is 7:00p.m.
"CHANCE OF A LIFETIME"
Once again, we will be offering the "CHANCE OF A LIFETIME " raffle. Tickets
go on sale this weekend after all the Masses. This year will be a little different. The
tickets will cost $50.00 each and the first prize will be $5,000.00, second prize will be
$700.00 and the third prize will be $300.00. Only 250 tickets will be sold so the odds are
in your favor. Drawing will be held on the day of the Parish Festival.
