School News
Our students held a casual day to raise money for the
victims of Haiti. They donated $202.00 which was added to the Church collection to help
provide relief to the people of Haiti.
We have recently been awarded a grant from the
Pendergast-Weyer Foundation. Our school will be receiving 4 new computers and a Laser Jet
printer in early February.
Catholic Schools Week – Dividends for Life –
Faith, Discipline, Knowledge, Morals – is the theme of the 2010 Catholic Schools
Week. Our students kicked off the week with Mass on Friday and a tour of our Church with
Father John. Lots
of fun activities are planned for the students this week
in our school and all Catholic Schools across America. We are very fortunate to have a
school in our parish.
Catholic Schools Week will end on Friday, February 5th,
with an early dismissal at 11:30 a.m

volunteer teams are the Knights of Columbus, St. Anne Parish, St. Joseph Parish and the

| There will be a meeting of all servers on
Sunday, February 7, 2010, after donuts and coffee. The meeting will be upstairs in the
Church. The books for the servers will be passed out at this time. Please call Janet Mecey

Roses for Life
Next weekend the Knights of Columbus will conduct their annual Roses for Life
Campaign. Please fill out the tag on the rose and drop it in the second collection along
with your contribution. The money collected will be given to Birthright and the tags will
be sent to the political office-holders. Thank you for your support.
St. Vincent de Paul
There will be a meeting on Friday, February 12th at
11:00 a.m. in the meeting room at St. Joseph’s Church. All members and volunteers are
asked to attend.

Our next dinner meeting which will have a Valentine’s Day

Thank you for your prayers and your generous response to the
needs of the victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. The Catholic Relief Services
will use these funds to provide immediate emergency needs such as water, food, shelter and
medical care.

Eucharistic Adoration
"The Church and the world have a great need of
Eucharistic Worship. Jesus waits for us in this sacrament of love. Let us be generous with
our time in going to meet Him in adoration and in contemplation that is full of faith and
ready to make reparation for the great faults and crimes of the world. May our adoration
never cease."

The celebration of the Eucharistic Adoration will begin at 8:30
a.m. on Friday, February 5, 2010 and conclude with the Benediction at 5:00 p.m. Please
sign up for your time to be spent with the Lord.
St. Louis Review
For $23.00 a year, the St. Louis Review provides a tool to learn
about our faith and be informed about what’s going on in our local Catholic
community. The Review features stories about Catholics and how their faith affects the
lives they lead.
Please use the subscription renewal envelope in your envelope
packet and return it in the Sunday collection as soon as possible. If you do not want the
Review, then please write "NO" on your envelope and return in the Sunday
collection or call the Parish Office.
Feast of St. Blaise
The blessing of the throats will be after each Mass this
weekend. This blessing reminds us of the Lord’s special care and compassion for the
sick and infirm.
Tax Statements
Tax Statements for the year 2009 are now available in the back
of Church. If you have received a statement in the past, one has been automatically
generated for you. Please call the Parish Office if you need a statement and one has not
been printed for you.
Candlelight Vigil
There will be a candlelight vigil to raise awareness to prevent
child abuse at Fort Davidson, Pilot Knob, Mo. on Saturday, February 6th, at 5:30 p.m.
(Candles will be provided.)

Our Church is cleaned on Monday and Friday.
Monday teams clean once a month. Time frame
is one-two hours. Our Friday teams rotate every two
weeks. It takes two or more people.
