YEAR END STATEMENTS

In order to save the parish money tax statements will not be printed for the entire parish.  If you need a year end statement for your tax purposes please call the rectory at 358-2112.  After you call and request a statement, it will be placed in a sealed envelope in the back of church.  Please pick up your copy.  Last year several people requested statements and forgot to pick them up.  We appreciate your help.

Flyers advertising our picnic are now available and are in the back of church. It is not too early to start passing them out.Please take a few and spread the news.We are still in the need of workers for the picnic. The sign-up sheet is in the back of church.If you can only help for an hour or two that would be appreciated.People have started signing up for the 40 Hour Adoration that will take place on February 25,26 and 27th. One hour or so spent with Jesus can give you the peace that He has promised to His people.Don’t forget to sign up!A chili dinner will begin at noon.Please bring a dessert.A suggestion box is in the back of church.Please take the time to offer your suggestion concerning a color that will be used for the painting. We are looking for someone in the parish that can play the organ or the guitar.If you could donate an hour or so of your time and talent to help the choir practice it would be greatly appreciated. If you are available please contact any member of the choir.

The Daughters of Isabella will have a bake sale on Saturday, February 12th from 2:00p.m. till 5:30p.m. and again on Sunday, February 13th after all the Masses.   Daughters, just a reminder to bring your baked goods on Saturday if possible.  With your help we will have several goodies to offer the evening crowd.The regular monthly meeting will be February 14, 2005.  A dinner will be served at 6:00p.m..  Please bring a $1.00 Valentine gift.

Catholic Schools Week will be celebrated from Monday January 31 to February 4, 2005.   This year’s theme is Faith in Every Student: Catholic Schools. Prior to Catholic Schools Week, Father John will give a presentation to the students  in regard to the vestments a priest wears in conjunction with the Church’s liturgical calendar.   He will join the children for lunch followed by a presentation in the church concerning the stories connected to the Church’s stained glass windows.  On Monday, Jan. 31st. students will attend a “banner and flag” Mass to kick off the week.  Father Jim French will visit and give a talk.  Tuesday, Feb.1st. will be pajama day.  At 1:00p.m. Mike Coleman a ventriloquist will host an assembly.  Wednesday, Feb.  2nd. will be the Talent Show beginning at 9:45a.m.  Thursday is Presentation Day, western duds with a delicious meal of hot dogs and beans.   Each class will present an educational program to all. Themes are top secret. Friday will conclude the week’s celebration.   After Mass everyone will enjoy a pancake and sausage breakfast.  School will be dismissed at 11:30a.m.
