St. Joseph Parish

St. Joseph Parish Bingo has donated a
grand  total of $50,000.00 for the year 2009 to help meet school expenses. What a blessing for our school!

We sincerely appreciate all who work and those who support the Parish Bingo. We currently have four teams working the Bingo. The volunteer teams are the Knights of Columbus, St. Anne Parish, St. Joseph Parish and the Home and

School Association. We can always use some extra help. If you would like to help any of the volunteer teams, please contact the Parish Office.

ST. ANNE CHURCH
FRENCH VILLAGE, MO.

Baptism of the Lord

The Baptism of the Lord commemorates the final "Christmas" feast, when the Father reveals the divinity of Jesus at His baptism through the Holy Spirit in the Jordan River. It is a good day to celebrate our own baptism, our "new birth" in Christ and inclusion in His body, the Church.

Daughters of Isabella

Happy New Year to all our D of I Sisters! Our regular meeting is Monday, January 11 at 7:00 p.m. beginning with the Rosary at 6:45 p.m. Our very special guest will be State Regent, Mary Jo Ballenger who is making her annual visit to our circle. Please come and make her feel welcome.

Standing and internal rules will be discussed and will need to be approved, so we need your input.

A rough draft has already been drafted.

A big "Thank You" to all the ladies who made cookies, turned out for making baskets for our shut-ins for Christmas, and especially to Gretchen Pratte, Ruth Rellergert, and Mary Hill for delivering them all. God bless you for your kindness!! See you Monday!

Sausage Dinner

St. Gertrude Church (Krakow, Missouri) will host its annual Sausage Dinner on Sunday, January 17, 2010. A delicious dinner prepared by the Men’s Club and Ladies Sodality will be served in the Parish Center from 11:00 a.m. till 6:00 p.m. There will be a Country Store, homemade quilt raffle and uncooked sausage available for sale. St. Gertrude is located on Highway YY, off of Highway A, between Washington and Union, MO. Please call 636-239-4216 for more information.

St. Louis Review

The renewal envelope for the St. Louis Review is in your envelope packet this month. Please help your parish and renew the subscription. "The Review" is our Archdiocesan newspaper and provides us with Catholic oriented articles of local, national, and world-wide interest. If you do not wish to receive the St. Louis Review, please mark your envelope "No" and return it in the basket.

Permanent Diaconate

It is my privilege to announce publicly that Mr. Mark A. Byington is a candidate for the major order of Sacred Diaconate, to be conferred Saturday, June 5, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cathedral Basilica. Anyone who knows any reason why this candidate should not be ordained \\is bound to disclose this immediately.

Please join me in prayer for Mark A. Byington and for each of the diaconate candidates, that these times of immediate preparation for ordination will be times of extra-ordinary grace and abiding peace.

(Second Announcement)
