ARCHDIOCESAN MARRIAGE
PREPARATION CLASSES

Couples who wish to be married in the Catholic Church are required to attend one marriage preparation program. Classes will be offered at St. Joseph Church on Saturday, January 12, 2002 from 9:00a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Jesus Christ was revealed to the nations beginning with the wise men who bore gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. Through your generous gift to the Archdiocesan Development Appeal (ADA) each year you, too, can reveal Christ to the world. Funds from the ADA help support Catholic education, train young men for the priesthood and serve those in need in St. Louis and in 10 surrounding counties.

TEC RETREAT

Just a reminder that a TEC WEEKEND will be held on January 19th – 21st. at St. Pius X High School, Festus for teens and young adults. For more information call 636-285-2828.

PLEASE PRAY FOR THE SICK

In your daily prayers please remember all those you are less fortunate than ourselves, the homeless, those victims of oppressive governments and especially our own parishioners, Elmer Deterding, and Pat Schwartz.

WORDS FROM MOTHER TERESA

"It is easy to think of the poverty far away and forget very quickly. Today a great disease is that feeling of terrible loneliness, the feeling of being unwanted, having forgotten what human joy is, what the human feeling is of being wanted or loved.

I think this is found in very well-to-do families also. We may not have people hungry for a plate of rice or a piece of bread…, but there is a tremendous hunger and a tremendous feeling of unwantedness everywhere. And that is really a very great poverty."
